Requirements and policies
The class will be taught via Zoom and requires the use of a computer and a high-speed internet connection. Each student must have:
- Computer (desktop or laptop)
- Internet access
- Headset with microphone (preferred) or earbuds with noise-cancelling microphone
Please note: The use of mobile devices and computer speakers for the class are not allowed since they diminish class participation. Mobile phone screens are too small to adequately see all the class content and to participate fully in breakout rooms. Using computer speakers creates a distracting echo for all participants.
Also note: On rare occasions, students have experienced problems when connecting to Zoom in work environments with stringent firewall settings or secure VPNs. If you encounter this kind of issue, you may need to seek help from your IT group to resolve it.
Other materials to consider: It is not necessary to read the following books, but a brief review may be helpful. Digital versions of these books are available on the PMI website with your PMI membership.
At the conclusion of class:
- Plan to take the CAPM exam within 4 weeks of the last day of the course.
- Plan for up to 40 hours of after-class study time.
- Follow your individual study plan as developed in the class.
- You’ll be invited to our monthly after-class support sessions.
