PMP® Exam Changes
Just Announced: PMP® Exam Change 2021
The PMP® Exam will change significantly starting January 2, 2021. Back in June 2019, the Project Management Institute (PMI) released the new PMP® Exam Content Outline for the scheduled PMP Exam change. Although the exact date of the new exam has changed twice, the nature of the changes to the exam are the same. The new outline shows a change from five domains to three domains, as well as the percentage of questions within each domain. The domains also illustrate the tasks of a project manager, along with the knowledge and skills associated with a project manager’s work.
Those taking the updated exam (January 2, 2021) will need to adjust their study to accommodate changes to the exam content outline.
Next PMP® Exam Change is January 2021
Your best strategy now? Take your exam before the change.
RMC’s current products and courses are updated to the latest standard. The mid-cycle exam changes (between editions of the PMBOK® Guide) have historically had a wide range of impact. When these kinds of changes occur, we encourage you to submit your application to PMI and get your exam scheduled prior to the change date.
Then you need to prepare.
RMC has been a leader in preparing students to pass the PMP® exam for decades. Our 9th Edition PMP® Exam Prep products and classes (aligned with the PMBOK® Guide, Sixth Edition) are fully updated for the exam changes last made in March 2018.

2021 PMP® Product Update Information
The PMP® Exam Changes are a Big Deal—RMC Has You Covered
RMC is working hard at making required changes to materials in order to align with the new PMP Exam Content Outline. As stated above, our best advice is to plan to study and take the exam BEFORE the change. However, we understand that you may be concerned about what happens if you are unable to take or pass the exam prior to the change on January 2, 2021.
Based on current information, we expect exam changes to be VERY significant. If you purchase 9th Edition PMP® Exam Prep products from us or have attended an RMC class based on the 9th Edition products and fail to get your PMP® certification before the exam change for any reason, we will support you and offer free or discounted upgrades to the newest products designed for the 2021 exam update (subject to provisions that are to be determined).
PMP® Exam Prep Book
We are currently working on a new edition of the PMP® Exam Prep book. At this time, we expect the book will be available (in English translation) well before the exam change date. Other translation timing and availability is yet to be determined. Pricing, formats and discounts are also still to be determined.
We will post more information on the availability of the new book on this page as it becomes available. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact RMC at 952-846-4484 or email@example.com
Hot Topics Flashcards for the PMP® Exam
We are also working on updates to the Hot Topics Flashcards for the PMP® Exam. We expect to offer new Hot Topics flashcards (in English translation) well before the exam change date. Other translation timing and availability is yet to be determined. Pricing, formats and various discounts are still to be determined.

Similar to PM FASTrack, users of the PMP Exam Prep, Ninth Edition eLearning course may qualify for a free upgrade to the new eLearning course. Users must have time remaining on their subscription to qualify for a free upgrade. Other details on how to upgrade will appear on this page in upcoming months.
